As a result of the evaluation conducted by the Experts Panel of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center of AArU (The Association of Arab Universities), the Law Bachelor Degree Program of Tishk International University has been accredited for five years without any condition. On 31st of May 2018, Tishk International University has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS-UK Branch. The Certificate was accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services Body (UKAS). By this certificate it has been attested that the Management System of Tishk International University has been audited and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 International Management System Standard. ISHIK University has signed a comprehensive MoU with the Palacký University, Czech Republic. On June 10, 2018, the rector of Palacký University Prof. Jaroslav Miller accompanied by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Vice dean for academic affairs of the Palacký University from the Czech Republic, have visited ISHIK University. Tishk International University organized an Iftar to Directors of high schools from General Directorate of Education, Erbil at the main Building of Tishk International University on June 05, 2018. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees and President of Tishk International University presented a speech, and he congratulated Ramadan month to all of them. He highlighted the role of education and school directorates in education sector. Tishk International University gratefully thanked the all teachers from general directorate of education in Erbil for their services to the students.

The Quality Assurance unit launched its electronic system, and for this purpose a workshop was organized on 5th June, 2018. The aim of the workshop was to train the staff (mainly deans and heads of departments) and guide them through the required procedures. On May 16, 2018, Tuesday, with the presence of Vice president of Tishk International University Dr. Wasfi Kahwachi, dean of education faculty Dr. Suleyman Celik and Mrs. Ashna Jamal the manager of the Darashakran refugee camp Tishk International University, distributed to Syrian refugees living at the Darashakran refugee, camp near Khabat, the donations football kits which was donated by Coventry Football Club .
