First-year students and the academic staff of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy paid a visit to the Kurdistan Parliament on February 05, 2018. They were welcomed by, and met, Ms. Rewaz Faiaq and Mr. Mohammad Ali—both leading members of parliament (MPs). In the discussions that followed, the named MPs from the named parties explained their roles, responsibilities and the views of their parties regarding certain political issues. The students were then given the chance to ask questions and engage with their hosts—discussing the current affairs. The students were then shown around the parliament and visited its library.

Tishk International University is an authorized Pro-metric Testing Center. Operating since 2011, we are the first TOEFL IBT center ever opened in Erbil. For more information about the TOEFL IBT Test please visit ETS website at http://www.ets.org/toefl. All registration processing and payment are done on the ETS website aforementioned. Tishk International University does not accept cash payments for TOEFL IBT and/or walk-in registration at the test center is not allowed. As part of the Departmental activity and the efforts to enhance the students’ experiences, the Medical Analysis Department at Tishk International University has organised an outstanding scientific field trip to Rizgari Teaching Hospital in Erbil on 2nd February 2018. Dr Honer O. Ismail, the lecturer of Biophysics at the Department, and Dr Ibrahim H. Following the initial statistical analysis of the Continuous Academic Development programme of all teaching staff, the Quality Assurance unit organized a sharing experience event on Wednesday 31st January, 2018. The aim of the event was to allow some fellow lecturers with outstanding performance during the fall term to share their thoughts, ideas, contributions and techniques on time management, publishing, work overload controlling, etc. Sharing experience would definitely help inspire other colleagues and enhance better academic performance.
