This 19th day of January 2018 Tishk International University, Dean of Students has organized a Certification Appreciation Ceremony for volunteers who participated in the “International Childhood Cancer Day.” In recognition for their outstanding contributions to the Charity Fundraising Event. Ali Bala (Dean of students) mentioned the big role of our volunteers which are participating in any charities and fundraising event which have been affecting our society significantly. On March 8, 2018, Dean of the Students, Tishk International University, Celebrated International Women’s Day which organized a panel of five female students of Tishk International University. They presented an impressive speech about the power of women on the scarification that they have given to our world. Moreover, they talked about their own story on how they have reached this stage of life. Gladly there was an extreme amount of students and staff participated in this event. Finally, the Dean of the Students handed flowers to the audience with a delight pleasure.

Deanery of Students of Tishk International University organized a Football Tournament starting from 28th February till the 7th of March. 53 teams with 500 students from all departments and staff as well as graduated students participated in the tournament in which all the teams had the great friendship and fair play. On 7th of March, 2018 the final match was played between Law Grads Students and Law Department students grade 3 at 15:00 pm. On February 21, 2018, one of our beloved students, Amro Dler, 1st -grade, in the Business and Management department passed away in an unexpected accident. Amro’s friends with the cooperation of Dean of Students organized a commemoration ceremony. The commemoration started with reading some verses from Quran Karim by Bilal Latif( Amro’s Classmate). In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees, the deceased’s family and a large number of University staff and friends. On February 28, 2018, a webinar under the title of “Mechanics Laboratory at the University of Missouri” was organized by Tishk International University and University of Missouri -Kansas City (UMKC). The webinar was presented by Mark Pederson from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) in the USA. The seminar tackled laboratory skills related to mechanics and the laboratory performance. The one-hour webinar was open for students of our Physics Education Department at Tishk International University. On February 28, 2018 Tishk International University hosted a two-hour workshop on Quality Assurance (QA) and Accreditation that aimed at presenting international perspectives related to Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education. This helps contribute to furthering the Quality Assurance process in Higher Education in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance unit in coordination with the Computer Engineering department at Tishk International University. The seminars presented in the workshop covered international frameworks of Quality Assurance as experienced in UK and Australia as well as accreditation practices.
