Tishk International University organized the 5th commemoration of Thanks to Martyrs which has been held on February 28, 2018, in Saad Abdullah Hall. In order to commemorate those who had been martyred by chemical bombing in Halabja, Anfal, uprising, and the recent terrorist group of ISIS. On February 21, 2018, one of our beloved students, Ahmad Farhad, 4th-grade, in the Architecture department passed away in an unexpected accident. The Deanery Students of Tishk International University  organized a commemoration ceremony. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees, the deceased’s family and a large number of University staff and friends. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih delivered a speech in loving memory of Ahmad Farhad, and then Ahmad’s friends distributed the Holy Quran to the attendees.   Tishk International University and Erbil Polytechnic University hosted 4th International Engineering Conference on Development in Civil & Computer Engineering Applications on February 26 and 27, 2018. The aim of the conference was to disseminate research findings and provide a platform for scholars to debate and exchange ideas on the developments in the field of engineering. The conference proceedings will be indexed by Google Scholar Databases and each paper will have DOI number. A deputation from Tishk International University paid a visit to Duhok city. Mr. Omer Akar, Director of media and publishing, and Mr. Wisam Abdulaziz, Director of HR, visited five high schools and Nawroz University. The aim of the visit was to introduce Tishk International University to the students. They visited five private and typical High school in Duhok. They were welcomed by the school directors. Tishk International University has organized a new program for the 12-year high schools inside Erbil city. All of the high schools were invited to attend the event which was arranged for the first time under the title of “Visit Your Future’. This event took place on February 20-22, 2018 inside the campus of Tishk International University. All of the departments prepared their own stand to introduce and show the project of their student's department. Tishk International High School College has paid a visit to Tishk International University with their 12 - year students. They were warmly welcomed by the Rectorate of Tishk International University. The students have the chance to have campus tour which gave them a perspective about Tishk International and the opportunity to see the campus and learn about the university classrooms, students project, history of the university and the traditions.
