Physics education department students participated with their fantastic ideas in an exhibition on January 11, 2018. An important opportunity has been given to the 3rd and 4th - year students to share their works with other undergraduates and faculty members. Our students in the “Wave and Optics” and “Thermodynamics” classes have prepared instructional modules associated with a poster to testify their ability for explaining “Wave and Optics” and “Thermodynamics” important concepts at the BSc level. Tishk International University - Sulaimani branch’s Preparatory School and Community Services Club students with the lead of Community Services Club’s Supervisor paid a humanitarian and charitable visit to Sulaimani Orphanage House for the Community Services on January 04, 2018. The orphanage children were so delightful and they pleasantly excited to receive Tishk International University students. Orphanage children were very happy to engage with students. The warm and friendly environment was established between female orphanage children and teenagers and female students. This year, Tishk International University (Dean of Students) has organized several charity activities for refugees through Mercy Corner, a fundraising project that aims to provide stuff such as money, clothes, blanket and food to refugees. On January 10, 2018, Dean of Students organized an ‘Appreciation Certificate Ceremony’ for 85 students for their participation in the Mercy Corner project at Tishk International University in collaboration with Dilnawa Organization. The students and the academic staff of International Relations and Diplomacy department from Tishk International University paid a visit to KRG Department of Foreign Relations on January 10, 2018. The students were welcomed by Mr. Falah Mustafa, Head of Department of Foreign Relations. During the visit, Mr. Falah Mustafa gave a presentation of the history of the Department and highlighted its major functions and achievements. The students had an opportunity to explore the Department and make a constructive discussion with the Minister and his professional team of staff.

Deanery of Students organized a Certification Appreciation Ceremony for those students who participated in the Food Fund-raising charity activity for their contribution by donating food and organizing the event as well on January 08, 2018. The Food fund-raising event was held on December 13, 2017, on the main building of Tishk International University. For the purpose of increasing income for mercy corner which was a fundraising project to provide stuff for the refugees such as blanket, money, clothes, and food. On January 09, 2018, a delegation of Tishk International University in the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees and President, with the member of Board of Trustees visited Mr. Bashar Matti Warda, archbishop of the Chaldean Diocese of Erbil in Erbil, Ankawa.
