A national seminar under the title (Breast Cancer Awareness) was held in Tishk International University. Dr. Narmin Taha Mustafa, Specialist in general surgeon presented a seminar for dental students in Faculty of Dentistry, Tishk International University on Thursday, November 23, 2017. The aim of the seminar was to enhance awareness about cancer and specifically breast cancer, which is widespread in our region. The main signs and symptoms of breast cancer with its risk factors were discussed as well as important instructions about self-examination for early diagnoses of breast cancer. On November 23, 2017 both Tishk International and Salahaddin University signed an agreement to open Master program for Academic Year 2017 -2018. At the Presidency of Salahaddin University, Dr. Ahmad Dizayi President of Salahaddin University welcomed the presidency delegation of Tishk International University, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Mehmet Özdemi, Academic Vice President and Dr. Wasfi Kahwechi, Admin. On November 15, 2017, Students Deanery, Alumni Office in collaboration with Business and Management Department organized a reunion event for the alumni of Faculty of Administration Sciences and Economics. On November 13, 2017, International Relations Office (IRO), organized a seminar for Mr. Steven Gillen, Deputy Principal Officer, in US Consulate General in Erbil. Academic Vice President’s Office coordinated an orientation workshop that was carried out on November 9-14, 2017. This workshop is within the Tishk International University’s training plan for the Academic Year 2017-2018. Each year, thousands of babies born with unfamiliar disease from across the world. Binayi Ahmad was one of the patients in Kurdistan. On November 09, 2017 Students Deanery of Tishk International University organized a tremendous seminar for Miss. Binayi to tell us about her story.
