The Dean of Students organized a live concert for the Daf Club at the Dean of Students Hall, performed on May 26th, 2021, at 1 PM. The concert aimed to demonstrate and share the musical achievements and creativity of the club as well as to enhance the self-confidence of our students. The event also intended to encourage the study and performance of music and arts amongst our community. The 8th National Young Researchers Conference (NAYREC) organized by the students of the Education Faculty, was held on May 19th, 2021, in Tishk International University. This conference has been held annually for the past 8 years and has yielded a great outcome each time.   All preparations were carried out by the students of the Faculty of Engineering, including the organization, coordination, and the evaluation of the abstract paper for each project to be presented. Tishk International University’s 6th National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE2021) was held on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021, under the theme of “Targeting Smart Sustainable Innovations.” The aim of the competition is to gather students, supervisors, practitioners, educators, students of all Engineering Departments with interests in smart sustainable innovations from around universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. A delegation from Baghdad visited Tishk International University on 18th May 2021, and were welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board Trustees, and Asst. Prof. Abdulsamad Salahadin Ahmad, President of Tishk International University. The delegation consisted of Prof. Munir Hamid Alsaadi, Baghdad University Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamid Fadhil Al-Tamimi, Al-Mustansirya University Rector. A Memorandum of Understanding MOU was previously signed between Tishk International University TIU and Entrac Petroleum Ltd EPL, based in London, which is a well-known consultancy and training provider for the oil industry. According to this MOU, the first training session entitled “IWCF and IADC/Well Control” has taken place at the premises of Tishk International University (TIU) during the week starting on 24.4.2021 until 29.4.2021, and was completed successfully. Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, and a delegation from the Ministry visited Tishk International University (TIU) on May 9th, 2021. They were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad, Acting President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President, Asst.
