On March 07, 2019, both Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department of Tishk International University (TIU) and Society of Petroleum Engineers International (SPE) – Erbil Section organized a workshop entitled “Using Downhole Fiber Optic Temperature Sensing Technology to Monitor, Control and Improve Well Performance” For the Distinguished Lecturer program held periodically by SPE branches in the world. The presidency of Tishk International University (TIU) organized a special event named  “Tree Planting Day” for all administration and academic staff of TIU. Previously computer engineering department planted tens of trees inside our campus. This time the out yard of the campus selected to be planted. The public diplomacy, Mr. Syamk burhani, visited Tishk University on Thursday March 10, 2019. He was warmly welcomed by his esteemed host, Chairman of the board of trustee (and acting president of Tishk International University) Dr.Idris Hadi. The international Women’s Day was celebrated at Tishk International University, where Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and President of TIU gave an opening speech about Women’s day and history of March 8, followed by a speech presented by Ms. Soma Abdulsalam Kareem Director of Gender Equity Center at Tishk International University. 3rd National POP-conference (NPC-2019) was held on 2nd of March 2019 by Education Faculty of Tishk International University.   Faculty of Education organizes professional development (PD) series for pre-service teachers to increase students’ skills and to make them aware of professional teaching and learning.
