Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees and Dr. Mehmet Özdemir, Vice president of Tishk International University and Dr. Suleyman Celik, Dean of Education faculty visited Mr.Ni Ruchi , Consulate General of China in Erbil, Iraq on March 07, 2019. It was planned to initiate collaboration between Tishk and various Chinese Universities to promote shared seminars, international conferences, student and staff exchange programs and information exchange. Mr. Ruchi promised to help Tishk students to get opportunities and scholarships to attain Master’s degrees at various Chinese Universities. He also suggested the creation of exchange programs that would raise knowledge and provide research data for both parties. [...]

The Department of Computer Engineering, with the support and cooperation of IT department and under the supervision of Mr. Safwan Mawlood, head of Computer Engineering department have organized a tree planting activity in Tishk International University’s campus on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, incorporating the theme: “Plant a tree, plant a life”. On February 27, 2019 an art exhibition was organized and presented by the teacher and students of drawing club. The Drawings were presented in the main entrance of the main building. The gallery contained more than 30 drawings that were organized chronologically. From the left side of the gallery were the basic drawings of the students from the early classes. Later, they were developed into amazing piece of arts. The Red ribbon was cut by the Vice President Dr. Wasfi of the Tishk International University. On 3rd of March 2019, an Award Ceremony of ISO 9001:2015 Certificate was held at Tishk International University (TIU) with the presence of the University’s Vice Presidents and ISO-related staff. TIU has been certified to ISO 9001:2015 by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS-UK Branch. The Certificate was accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Services Body (UKAS). By this certificate it has been attested that the Management System of TIU has been audited and found to be per the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 International Management System Standard. On February 27th, 2019, The Engineering Faculty in collaboration with Science faculty have organized a tremendous day event for poster presentation competition. The event included the presentation of tens of posters by first-grade students in different departments of engineering and science. The poster included the view of social and scientific perspectives of student research and data analysis for the Academic debate course. Students presented their work for the staff and students of Tishk International University (TIU) and some guests and visitors.
