ELT department students are in action again. Although they are overwhelmed by various tasks and assignments, they’re started their teaching in refugee camps. As we all know, ELT students organized teaching sessions in Darashukran refugee camp last year. Tishk International University was awarded for this project. In this context, our enthusiastic and altruist students have decided to organize a charity event one step further. Mayor of Erbil Municipality Saman Mohammed Ahmed with the municipal officers visited Tishk International University on November 28, 2016. Municipal delegates were welcomed at Tishk International University for a short meeting by Head of Board of Trustees Dr. Edris Hadi and Tishk International President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş. The main aim and agenda of meeting was to foster cooperation and relationship for both. Therefore, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş gave information as to prospective research to connect Erbil to a smart city.
