A Visit to Syrian Students at Darashakran Camp
The English Language Teaching (ELT), Faculty of Education at Tishk International University organized a visit to two Darashakran refugee camp schools on April 18th, 2022. The student volunteers distributed school supplies amongst 3000 Syrian refugee students in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees, Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad President of TIU, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President, and Dr. Venera Ulker, Head of the ELT Department. Each school kit distributed included nine stationery items. Darashakran Syrian Refugee Camp is located near Erbil City and is home to many Syrian refugees.
