2nd TIU Book Fair

The Dean of Students coordinated the 2nd TIU Book Fair, which took place on February 7th – 10th at Tishk International University’s campus.

Organized annually, this event welcomes several publishing professionals and companies to TIU to learn, network, and to help promote reading amongst our youth. The fair aims to commemorate the written word, literature and ideas. It brings leading bookstores and publishing houses together to inspire each other and audiences in a great experience.

TIU Book Fair is a place where everyone can become a reader. This was a great opportunity to connect with the best of the industry all in one place, as we bring together books and publishing professionals from across the country. This year, TIU welcomed several participants including: Ashti Bookstore, Cambridge Bookstore, Haval Bookstore, Khwenari Kara, Lalezare Culture Center, Nariman Bookstore, and Rana Bookstore. Each bookstall contained assorted books in different languages, ranging from science fiction, storybooks, novels, history, non-fiction, children’s books, and many more.

The fair was organized to achieve many purposes, including to raise awareness of reading amongst the TIU society, and highlight the significance of comprehension and books. The fair aimed to provide a platform for interaction and networking between students and lecturers along with inviting public and private high schools to participate in the fair for introducing them to reading culture, initiating various schemes such as cultural clubs and teamwork to strengthen the traditions of reading, and develop collaboration and interaction between various publishing houses and bookstores. TIU curated a first-class book fair that stood as a national marketplace and a network field for the participating bookstores and publishing houses, offering an opportunity to promote their business and communicate with their competitors and clients.

Certificates of appreciation were endowed to the publishing houses and bookstores that participated in the TIU Book Fair.
