6th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science
Tishk International University (TIU) successfully held its 6th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science on March 8th, 2023. The festival, organized by the Dean of Students, centred around the theme of Women’s Empowerment.
The event started with a speech by Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, who highlighted the significance of this event. The event. The festival was successfully achieved by the generous support of the main sponsor, MG Motor, as well as other sponsors like Khoshnaw Group, Show Market, and Istanbul ENT centre. The organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors.
The festival featured over 25 tents dedicated to the scientific aspect of the event, providing participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in various fields. The scientific tent was highly competitive, with the Faculty of Dentistry coming first, the Department of Nursing second, and the Faculty of Pharmacy third. Additionally, more than 35 tents were designed to showcase different countries and their unique cultures, including first-place winners UAE and Japan, followed by Palestine and China in second place, and Greece and Egypt in third place. In addition to the scientific and cultural tents, the festival had more than 25 special tents dedicated to handmade accessories made by disabled women and homemakers.
To add to the festive atmosphere, over 20 tents were arranged for food fundraising, with the proceeds going to charity. Participants were also treated to a range of entertainment options, including horse shows and riding and various games and activities. More than 7,000 participants from various backgrounds, including students, academics, and members of the public, attended the festival and enjoyed the diverse range of activities offered.
We extended our sincere gratitude to all the faculties and departments that supported the festival and to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure its success. In conclusion, the 6th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science under the theme of Women Empowerment was a resounding success, thanks to the diligent efforts of the organizers and the enthusiastic participation of the attendees. The event showcased the rich diversity of language, culture, and science from around the world while also highlighting the importance of women’s empowerment in society. The various tents and activities provided a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and ideas, enjoy entertainment and showcase their talents. The fundraising initiative for charity was a shining example of the spirit of generosity and community that underpinned the festival.
