On February 14th, 2019, the Consul General for the U.S. Consulate in Basrah, Mr. Timmy Davis, and the Political Affairs Officer of the consulate visited Tishk International University (TIU). The visitors were warmly welcomed by the President of the University, Dr Idris Hadi Head Of Board Of Trustees, and the staff of the International Relations Office. President of Hawler Medical University, Dr. Dara Omar Meran, with a delegation visited Tishk International University (TIU) on Tuesday February 12, 2019. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, President and head of board of trustees of Tishk International University. The visit aimed to continue and renew the ongoing ‘memorandum of understanding’ that defines the joint master’s program at both universities. During their meeting they discussed the MoU agreement that was signed in 2017-2018 and they agreed to both continue and renew this joint academic program for the 2018-2019 season.  

Tishk University held an exhibition for the students of drawing club on February 11, 2019. The Exhibition included several artistic drawings by the talented students. Further, in the exhibition more than 30 paintings were presented in the entrance of the main building from 11:00 to 15:00 PM. The students were very joyous to see the fruit of their hard work and efforts. Meanwhile, the presidency of Tishk university attended the event. On February 10, 2019, Tishk International University (TIU) held an event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding. A large number of participants, students and guests attended the event, including KRG ministers, MPs, NGOs and other officials. On February 4, 2019, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees at the American University of Kurdistan Dr. Honar Issa presented a seminar titled “Institutional Effectiveness & Accreditation” at Tishk International University Campus. The elements of the Educational Quality were explained and the Accreditation’s Process and Standards were demonstrated. The presentation also highlighted the role of applying Self-Evaluation in the Educational Process.
