A deputation from Tishk International University paid a visit to Duhok city. Mr. Omer Akar, Director of media and publishing, and Mr. Wisam Abdulaziz, Director of HR, visited five high schools and Nawroz University. The aim of the visit was to introduce Tishk International University to the students. They visited five private and typical High school in Duhok. They were welcomed by the school directors. Tishk International University has organized a new program for the 12-year high schools inside Erbil city. All of the high schools were invited to attend the event which was arranged for the first time under the title of “Visit Your Future’. This event took place on February 20-22, 2018 inside the campus of Tishk International University. All of the departments prepared their own stand to introduce and show the project of their student's department. Tishk International High School College has paid a visit to Tishk International University with their 12 - year students. They were warmly welcomed by the Rectorate of Tishk International University. The students have the chance to have campus tour which gave them a perspective about Tishk International and the opportunity to see the campus and learn about the university classrooms, students project, history of the university and the traditions. Career Center of Tishk International University participated in the Kurdistan Regional Government initiative internship program for the second year. For this year 275 students from 8 departments in 85 companies took part in the program and completed the program successfully. Each student completed two months or 150 working hours through the companies in Kurdistan. The process of the supervision and evaluation of the program made by the office of the deputy prime minister. The 5th Future Inventors Project Olympiad held on February 17, 2018, at Tishk International University in Erbil in the presence of Mr. Karim Sinjari, Ministry of Interior in KRG, Representative of Ministry of Education, teachers from the high schools, students family and their friends. Today, February 15, 2018, is the International Childhood Cancer Day which highlights the need for concerted global actions to address the growing challenge posed by this non-communicable disease. Globally, childhood and adolescent cancer is threatening to overtake infectious diseases, as one of the highest causes of disease-related mortality in children. It is a day when we come together to continue the work to make childhood cancer a national and global child health priority.
