Under theme of Internationalization of Kurdistan Scientific Research, Erbil Polytechnic University organized 2nd Symposium on May 2nd, 2017 at Erbil Polytechnic University. Symposium had panel as well, hosting presidents of three universities. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas from Tishk International Univeristy, Dr. Himdad Abdulqahar from Knowledge University, and Dr Muhamad Ihsan from International Erbil University. Graduation photo shooting ceremony was held at Tishk International University for the faculties of Adminstrative Sciences & Economic and Dentistry on April 30th, 2017.  After ceremony, students have spent time with their lectures and family taking photo.

Mr. Ghafoor Khoshnaw owner of the Khoshnaw Group Company visited Tishk International University on April 26th, 2017. He welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Oztash President of Tishk International University. A short meeting has been held, then they visited Education Faculty and Conference Hall which is under construction. Mr. Ghafoor Khoshnaw is so grateful to Dr.  Idris Hadi and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas for making the university better in not only academic perspective but also facilities.

Education Faculty of Tishk International University and College of Education of Salahaddin University jointly organized conference VESAL’17 in order to attract the research communities to promote connections between theory and practice as well as explore the different perspectives on the application of research findings into different practices.   This year 8th VESAL Conference has been held with 72 submitted paper from 10 different countries such as UK, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Tataristan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Turkey. Law Department of Tishk International University organized a seminar in cooperation with Islamic Thought Forum on April 23rd, 2017. The seminar was held under the theme of International Book Day. Mr. Abdulrahman Sadeeq was speaker of the seminar. The main aim of his speech was to encourage and advice the students to read more as well as underlined the significance of reading. He, as well, gave a brief info as to the history of International Book Day.
