KRG Initiative for Internship Program under the management the Deputy Prime Minister Office organized the 3rd Certification Ceremony for the student who took place in internship program. The program was held at Sa’ad Abdullah Conference Hall on 15th of December 2016. In the third year program, 320 students from 30 companies were accepted for the internship program that was conducted in 15 universities.   Tishk International University participated in the program with 51 students from 5 different departments having completed internship in five different companies. Student Deanery of Tishk International University hosted “KERMESS” on December 14, 2016 with the help of other faculties and  volunteer students. The organization was held for the Refugee Camps, Orphanage, Peshmarga and Nanakali Hospital. Prof. Dr Ahmet Oztas and the Deans of Faculties commenced the event after ribbon cutting. They paid an enthusiastic visit to the event in which they got very happy to see such charity project. They highly appreciated all of our volunteer students and the committee of the organization. Student Deanery organized a project under the title of "Let us make Tishk International green all together" on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 on the campus.  The event started by a speech of Umed Aruzery Vice-President for Administration and Finance in which he addressed to our students and our staff; in his utterances, he emphasized the importance of this project and for the region environment. Totally, we planted more than 1000 trees at our university. We, as the Student Deanery, encourage all of our students to be a part or at least participate in such projects to improve themselves and serve the society as well as the nature. Law Department held "Moot Court". It is one of the faculty activities dedicated to the third and fourth year students. The trial court was held on Thursday, December 08, 2016, at 11 am in room 434. The event under the supervisor Ms. Deman Yousef was of a great success and lasted about one hour. During th trial court, Lana Gaffer a senior student in the Law Department played the role of judge with her outstanding performance as well as other students performed other roles like criminal and lawyer. Association of Together to Protect Human & Environment was at Tishk International University to increase the awareness of social responsibility among society in future starting with students as young generation. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas President of Tishk International University welcomed Expert Engineer Saadia F. Hassoon President of Together to Protect Human & Environment Association on the 7th of December, 2016 in the rectorate office for a meeting on future plans. The American University of Kurdistan (AU) visited Tishk International University on the 6th of December 2016. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş President of Tishk International University and Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir Vice President welcomed Dr. Michael William Mulnix President of the American University of Kurdistan and Dr. Honar K. Issa Member of Board of Trustees of AU. The main agenda of the meeting was to set friendly collaboration among both sides in the future and organize prospective mutual conference in order to enhance the links between Tishk International University and The American University of Kurdistan.
