Mathematics Education Department recently organized the 1st National Pop-Conference on Saturday, March 04, 2017 for its graduate students. Most of the universities around the world organize professional development programs for their senior students such as workshops, seminars, conferences and courses. As Mathematics Education Department, we decided to organize a National Pop-Conference for our senior students on March 04, 2017. The President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet OZTAS, has been invited to India to attend the International Conference on Research and Innovations in Science, Engineering and Technology in Gujarat as chief guest on the inaugural function and enlighten the conference with his keynote speech that fostered the conference in a positive direction and motivated the team as well as participants. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas, as a keynote speaker, gave speech entitled “Current Trends in Engineering Education: Focused on Student Centered Learning” in the conference. With partnership of Ministery of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the volunteer students and staff, Tishk International University Deanery of Student held the fourth (4th) commemoration ceremony under the name of “Thanks for Martyrs” which was dedicated to the departed people who had been killed by chemical bombing in Halabja, Anfal, Raparin, and recent Martyrs by the attack of the terrorist group of ISIS. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Oztas President of Tishk International University, all units and Deans of Faculties with Head of Departments of Tishk International University held a seminar on 7th February, 2017 as to NUR system (National University Ranking) at main building of the university. The seminar was presented by Dr. Salah I. Yahya Coordinator of NUR System from Ministry of Higher Education. In his session, he explained how NUR system works and what its importance is for the University.
