February 15 was announced as a special day for children with cancer in most of the country around the world: International Childhood Cancer Day. In this context Tishk International University with partnership of Kurdistan Save Children (KSC) organized an amazing Fundraising event in main campus. On 12th February, 2017, Dr. Beriwan Khailany Member of Ministry of Higher Education Committee of Baghdad visited Tishk International University concerning the revision of the university regulations and setting up a cooperation. Dr. Beriwan was warmly welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas President. The main agenda was to revise the law and regulation of Ministry of Higher Education of Iraq and review the connections between our university and the Ministry.

On February 11, approximately 6000 out of 7000 registered High School Senior Students took the 6th annual ITCO examination in 4 different cities, 30 districts, and 23 test center for this year, 2017. The exam has been held in Erbil, Sulaimania, Halabja, and Duhok. More than 500 proctors as volunteer were ready for the examination. The examination was formed in four languages Kurdish, Arabic, Turkish, and English for those who took scientific (ilmi) category; Kurdish and Arabic for those who took literary (edebi) category. Tishk International University with partnership of Ministery of Social Affairs hosted physically challenged students from Hiwa Center on the 7th of February 2017 on the premises at Tishk International University. Senior staff of the university was among the hosts: Dr. Idres Hadi Head of Board Trustees and Prof Dr. Ahmet Oztas President showed their care and interest by attending the program in person. The students were given a tour on the campus in which audial and visual translators were used. Following the tour, a luncheon was served for the children of Hiwa Center. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board Trustees, Deans of Faculties and Head of Departments of Tishk International University held a seminar on 6th February, 2017 about E-library in main building at university. The seminar was presented by Dr. Muhamad Mustafa Library Director of Salahaddin University. In his session, he explained how e-library works and what its importance is for the University.
