A delegate from Tishk International University, consisting of President Prof. Dr.  Ahmet Öztaş and Mr. Azad Ahmed Barzanchi Achitecture lecturer, paid a courtesy visit to Kurdistan University. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Mochtar Vice Chancellor and Jamal Rasul Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and M. Amin Barzanji Head of International Relations and Academic Partnerships. Tishk International Graduation picture of 2016 is chosen as the best work of the year by Zanko Journal of Salahaddin University. The picture was selected between 276 work that were taken from Kurdistan Regional Government Universities graduation ceremonies. Including private and governmental, there are 30 universities In Kurdistan Regional Government. These all universities had send their graduation ceremonies pictures to Zanko Journal. However, The Tishk International University Dentistry Faculty picture which was taken and resembles the tooth is selected as the best work the year. you can see the details from this link Zanko. Second National Innovation Contest in Engineering (NICE 2016) was published in GEDC journal 2016. As it is known, GEDC is the abbreviation of Global Engineering Deans Council which aims at bringing deans of the engineering faculties throughout the world to be able to share the new developments faster. The conference was held on May 16, 2016. NICE is a groundbreaking Engineering competition open to higher education students in Kurdistan Region. The Second International Engineering Conference (IEC2016) was published in GEDC journal 2016. As it is known, GEDC is the abbreviation of Global Engineering Deans Council which aims at bringing deans of the engineering faculties throughout the world to be able to share the new developlments faster. The conference was held on 21-22 February, 2016 in collaboration with Erbil Polytechnic University. Tishk International University Continuing Education Center’s teachers organized a Turkish Language Training Course for the administrative staff of Erbil Polytechnic University.  The course started   at 20 June and ended at 17 August, 2016. 12 administrative staffs including Polytechnic University President Dr. Kawa Sherwani attended the Turkish course which took place for two months and 50 hours. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş as a representative of Tishk International University is a member of Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) since 2012. The GEDC is an affiliate of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). In 2016, the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) will vote for one Chair-Elect, one Secretary Treasurer and six Executive Committee members.  Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş is also a candidate of the Executive Committee.
