On February 27, 2024, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University conducted a dental care service project at Zhyan Kindergarten and Primary School, supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. Faculty members and nine volunteer students provided dental checkups and home care instructions to 350 students, promoting preventive dental health. The initiative included live demonstrations on proper brushing techniques and provided each student with a treatment plan. Additionally, primary students received gift bags with school supplies. On March 2, 2024, the Faculty of Dentistry at Tishk International University conducted a dental education and service project at the Hiwa Institution for children with hearing impairments, aligning with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. Nine fourth-stage students and five faculty members provided dental checkups and home care instructions to 150 students, using engaging demonstrations to teach proper brushing techniques. Scientific Trip to Baxshin Hospital’s X-ray Unit- Sulaymaniyah

The Physiotherapy Department, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Tishk International University (TIUS), organized a scientific trip to Baxshin Hospital’s x-ray unit for 1st grade students on February 18th, 2024. The trip, supervised by Dr. Younis Mohammed, aimed to offer students a comprehensive understanding of the x-ray units in hospitals. Dr. Bakhtiyar Talabani, Head of X-ray Unit at Baxshin Hospital explained the process of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, based on the diagnosis the doctors require, and discussed the different techniques and machines in the unit (X – ray, CT scan, MRI). Our students greatly benefited from the visit and appreciated the fruitful and detailed explanations provided by the unit staff and Dr. Bakhtiyar Talabani. During the workshop, Mr. Yusuf, HR Manager at Smart Hospital, provided insights into the meaning and implementation of HRM in the healthcare industry.
