Tishk International University Hosts its 9th Career Days Event

On February 27th and 28th, Tishk International University hosted its 9th Career Days event, welcoming a distinguished array of guests, including Mr. Kamal Muslim, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, and notable figures from various sectors.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi and Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, set the stage for two days of enriching activities. Organized by the Career Development Centre, Dean of Students in collaboration with Bright Way Company, the event aimed to provide students with invaluable insights into diverse career paths and opportunities.

Featuring the theme “Pathways to Success and Building a Sustainable Future,” the event garnered overwhelming praise and participation from renowned companies, government officials, NGOs, and university leaders. The dynamic atmosphere allowed students to directly engage with industry professionals and gain practical knowledge about their prospective fields.

Mr. Ari Hussen Hassan and Mr. Rizwan Tahir skillfully orchestrated the event, ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees. The opening ceremony featured inspiring speeches from Dr. Idris Hadi and prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi and Mr. Kamal Muslim minister of Trade and industry and Mr. Muhammed, General Manager of Bright way Company, setting a tone of motivation and empowerment.

The event presented students with opportunities for internship programs to gain hands-on experience and over 146 job vacancies across various companies, offering a diverse array of career paths. Informative panels further enriched the experience, providing attendees with valuable insights into essential skills and industry expectations.

One panel, moderated by Mr. Heersh Omar, focused on “Essential Construction Skills Expected from Engineering Students,” featuring distinguished speakers from academia and industry. Another seminar, organized by the Career Development Center, addressed the challenges and opportunities facing medical field students and alumni in a competitive market.
