TIU Hosts 4th TIU Book Fair

From February 19th to February 27th, 2024, Tishk International University (TIU) hosted a book fair on university campus, organized by the Dean of Students. The event was themed “A Health Reading Leads to: A Healthy Mind, A Healthy Spirit, and A Healthy Heart” with the aim of promoting the importance of education and reading for personal and societal growth.

The event speaker was Revan Rzgar, who shared her insights on the importance of education and reading in developing enlightened individuals who can become community educators. At the beginning of the event, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abdu-Orabi, the President of TIU, gave a speech in which he highlighted the importance of education and the role that books play in shaping a person’s intellectual and personal development.

During the book fair, appreciation certificates were presented to the participating bookstores, including Haval Bookstore, Cambridge Bookstore, Ashtyi Bookstore, Lalazar Bookstore, Nishtiman Bookstore, Adiban Bookstore, and Balldar Bookstore, for their invaluable contribution to the event and their continued support for the university’s academic mission.

The book fair attracted numerous visitors, including students, faculty members, and book lovers. It provided an excellent opportunity for visitors to explore various books on various topics, including literature, science, history, and more. The Dean of Students at TIU plans to expand this event to make it even more vibrant, aiming to bring in more bookstores and hosting panel discussions to continue to promote the importance of education and reading for personal and societal growth.
