Tishk International University President Meets with Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government

Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University, held an official meeting with H.E. Mr. Safin Dizeyee, Head of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, at his office on September 2, 2026.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to exchange views on the current state and future development of higher education in the Kurdistan Region. The discussions addressed key aspects of the higher education sector, including the development of universities in the Region, the advancement of academic standards, and the importance of strengthening the role of higher education institutions in supporting the Region’s educational and developmental priorities.

Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi also highlighted the University’s commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and continued development in line with contemporary higher education standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi had the honor of presenting H.E. Mr. Safin Dizeyee with a copy of his book, “Milestones of My Life” (محطات في حياتي), as a gesture of appreciation and respect.

The meeting reflects the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation between academic institutions and the relevant governmental authorities in supporting the advancement of higher education and contributing to the educational development of the Kurdistan Region.
