Tishk International University proudly announces that Assist. Prof. Dr. İdris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees, presented letters of appreciation to seven TIU students and Mr. Heersh Omar, Career Development Center Coordinator, in recognition of their outstanding achievements and representation of the university at Medico 2026, held on August 11–14, 2026.

The recognition follows an exceptional performance by the TIU delegation, which achieved three first-place victories in the MediVote competition and advanced to the semi-finals after defeating the Catholic University team.

Among the achievements, Abdullah Dler secured first place among 160 competitors, Shawkatbag Edris Shwkit won first place among 420 contestants with his innovative Lyia AI project in dental radiography, and Zaynab Abid secured first place in another MediVote round.

The seven students represented the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing under the supervision and coordination of Mr. Heersh Omar.

This recognition reflects Tishk International University’s commitment to encouraging student excellence, innovation, and leadership, while appreciating the efforts of those who support students in achieving success at local and international competitions.
