Strategic Partnership Discussions

As part of Tishk International University’s ongoing efforts to expand international relations, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) officially visited TIU to explore opportunities for strategic collaboration and academic cooperation.

Welcoming TIU Delegation

The delegation was enthusiastically welcomed by:

Key Areas of Partnership Discussed

During the meeting, the two universities held fruitful discussions focusing on several areas of potential collaboration:

Student Exchange Program

  • RCSI Bahrain expressed interest in sending a group of nursing students to TIU for a short elective program lasting 2–3 weeks

  • TIU students will likewise be invited to Bahrain for the same duration

Staff Exchange

  • Both parties agreed on the need to promote academic mobility to foster professional growth and improve teaching quality

Joint Research Projects

  • Teams identified possible collaborative research opportunities across various nursing and medical fields

Joint Activities and Academic Engagements

  • Discussions included options for joint workshops, seminars, and training programs


Joint Conference in October 2026

To mark the 20th anniversary of the School of Nursing and Midwifery (SONM) at RCSI Bahrain, a large-scale international conference will be hosted in October 2026. RCSI Bahrain offered TIU the opportunity to participate as a partner institution. The SONM team will visit TIU again to provide additional information and begin planning the joint conference.


Looking Ahead

This visit demonstrates TIU’s commitment to broadening its academic communication networks worldwide and developing meaningful international experiences for students and staff. Both institutions expressed strong enthusiasm for initiating the next steps toward formalizing and implementing the agreed-upon joint initiatives.
