As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic relations, the President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu- Orabi, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Non-Resident Ambassador to the State of Palestine, H.E. Mr. Omar Al-Barzanji, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Iraqi Embassy in Amman.
The meeting was marked by a warm exchange of greetings and mutual appreciation. Ambassador Al-Barzanji expressed his pride in the distinguished academic role played by Tishk International University in Erbil, highlighting its significant contributions to the advancement of higher education and the promotion of a dynamic academic environment.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Abu- Orabi conveyed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception, commending the Iraqi Embassy’s efforts in supporting educational institutions and enhancing their regional presence. He also emphasized the University’s commitment to expanding academic and cultural cooperation with Jordanian universities in ways that benefit students and foster the exchange of expertise.
The meeting further explored avenues for strengthening academic relations and activating joint cooperation programs, contributing to building bridges of knowledge and enhancing scientific collaboration between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
