Tishk International University held its regular University Council Meeting on June 1, 2026, attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees. In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of TIU, welcomed attendees and expressed his best wishes, hoping all had enjoyed a restful holiday period.

The meeting also highlighted key international engagements, including Dr. Idris Hadi’s recent visit to the United Kingdom, where he explored opportunities for academic collaboration and international networking. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Sultan participated in the 8th ICABEP Conference in Poland (May 25–26, 2026), at which Tishk International University was one of the main organizers, further strengthening its global academic presence.

During the session, the University President awarded Letters of Appreciation to the Chair, Co-Chair, and Organizing Committee members of the 11th National Innovation Competition in Engineering (NICE 2026), recognizing their dedication and valuable contributions to the competition’s successful implementation.

Furthermore, appreciation letters were presented to the Dean of Students team for their outstanding efforts in organizing the 11th Annual Job Fair and Career Days 2026 and the IDCB SDG Project Fundraising Day. Their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment played a key role in enhancing student development and promoting meaningful community engagement.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the university’s commitment to strengthening academic excellence, expanding international partnerships, and supporting impactful initiatives that empower students and contribute to sustainable development.
