As part of Tishk International University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international partnerships and support students from across the region, the President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, visited H.E. Mr. Omar Barzanji, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, in Amman on July 30, 2026.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for enhancing cooperation between Tishk International University and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq. The discussions focused on facilitating academic collaboration and providing greater support for international students.

Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi highlighted that Tishk International University proudly welcomes students from Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon, in addition to students from Iraq and other countries. In this context, H.E. Ambassador Omar Barzanji expressed his full support for facilitating travel and related procedures for students coming from Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to pursue their higher education at Tishk International University.

During the meeting, it was also announced that Jordanian and Palestinian students are eligible for a special 50% tuition fee discount at Tishk International University, reaffirming the University’s commitment to expanding access to quality higher education and encouraging greater regional academic exchange.
