As part of Tishk International University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international partnerships, Professor Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University (TIU), paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Mrs. Jirapon Jirampakool, Ambassador of Thailand to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on 23 July 2026.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for enhancing academic cooperation between Tishk International University and Thai universities. The discussions focused on promoting institutional partnerships, academic exchange, and cultural collaboration that would benefit students and faculty members of both countries.

Her Excellency the Ambassador expressed her support for expanding educational cooperation and pledged to facilitate the provision of Thai language instructors to Tishk International University, enabling the University to introduce Thai language education and further strengthen cultural and academic ties with Thailand.

The meeting also highlighted TIU’s commitment to promoting international cultural understanding. A few months earlier, the University inaugurated the Thailand Corner on its campus, featuring books, documents, posters, and educational materials showcasing Thailand’s culture, language, heritage, and contemporary life. This initiative represents Thailand’s first cultural corner established at a university in Iraq, reflecting TIU’s pioneering role in fostering intercultural dialogue and global engagement.

Through such initiatives, Tishk International University continues to expand its international network and create new opportunities for academic excellence, cultural exchange, and global cooperation.
