TIU Welcomes International Healthcare Students

Tishk International University was pleased to host international exchange students from Al-Saeed University, Yemen, and the University of Jordan (UJ), Jordan, as part of the 2026 Summer Training Program under the Arab Student Exchange Program throughout August.

The Faculty of Nursing and Faculty of Pharmacy welcomed the students visiting for a four week program combining academic learning, practical training, laboratory experiences, and educational field visits. The program provided valuable opportunities for professional development, academic exchange, and cultural understanding.

The Faculty of Pharmacy hosted Ahmad Mohammad, Hilmi Isam, and Nabil Khalid, who participated in theoretical lectures, hands-on practical sessions, and professional training in different areas of pharmacy. Their program also included visits to hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacy chains, and medical exhibitions, providing exposure to different sectors of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

The Nursing Department hosted Mohammed Zakarya Abu-Shaikhah, a third-year nursing student from the University of Jordan, College of Nursing, from August 1 to August 27, 2026. He participated in nursing lectures, laboratory activities, curriculum discussions, and clinical visits to West Emergency Hospital, Nanakali Hospital, Hawler Teaching Hospital, Rapareen Teaching Hospital, and East Emergency Hospital. His training provided practical exposure to emergency care, surgical nursing, cancer care, maternal and newborn care, patient safety, and multidisciplinary teamwork.

The President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, warmly welcomed the visiting students and emphasized the importance of academic and scientific collaboration. This exchange reflects TIU’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships, interdisciplinary healthcare education, professional development, and cultural exchange across the region.
